Transit Across the Sun

About this object

On Wednesday, November 8th, 2006 the planet Mercury transited in front of the Sun.  The last time this occurred was in 2003.  This is a relatively rare event which only occurs about 13 times in 100 years.   From Friendswood, the transit was visible from the start of the transit through about 70% of its travel across the face of the Sun.
